Let’s Try Again: Devil’s Bowl, New Egypt Ahead for Short Track Super Series

WEST HAVEN, VT & NEW EGYPT, NJ – Let’s try this again.

After rain moved into Plattsburgh, N.Y., last Thursday, forcing the postponement of the ‘Adirondack Invasion’ at Airborne Park Speedway to Monday, July 21, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco resets for the month of June.

All STSS Modified teams that were in attendance last Thursday at Airborne Park Speedway received 40 points toward the HYTORC of New York North Region championship battle. The event will now serve as a prelude to the ‘Lumberjack Swing’ in Quebec July 22-23.

A pair of events are on the June docket: the ‘Slate Valley 67’ at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., Sunday, June 15 and the ‘Dirty Jersey’ at New Egypt (N.J.) Speedway on Tuesday, June 24.

The Father’s Day ‘Slate Valley 67’ at Devil’s Bowl will now serve as Round No. 1 of the HYTORC of New York North Region, with a 67-lap event paying $7,567 to the winner.

New Egypt’s annual ‘Dirty Jersey’ is Round No. 4 of the NJ Quality Drywall Modified South Region with a 50-lap, $6,000-to-win event on deck. STSS Sportsman also take part in Round No. 3 of the Belmont’s Garage South Region offering a $1,500 top prize.
